Bunny has been with the DT for quite a while, and we were so glad that she agreed to stay on during the transition period from the 'previous' DS4J owner, to help me get on my feet with this new venture! Caz, I would personally like to thank you for all your loyalty and dedication to DS4J, and I know that Jen our DT Leader will be echoing my sentiments as she reads this. You were an amazing member of a very busy team, always pulled your weight, and always created stunning cards. We will all miss you, but we wish you all the best in your cardmaking adventures, and of course you may now 'officially' enter our DS4J challenges!! Jen put together a collage of some of the cards you have made during your DT membership, and I think it is a perfect tribute to you.

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY CHALLENGE #47 : POLKA DOTS AND STRIPES!

Welcome back to the Digistamps 4 Joy Challenge blog.  

 Thanks to everyone that entered our week-long (or should we say week-short) challenge – we loved seeing your weather creations.  It was like watching a world weather report on TV – only wayyyyyyyyyy more fun!   

The winners have been posted and we’d like to congratulate them all!

 The new challenge (and this one lasts for two weeks) is always a popular theme:

POLKA DOTS AND STRIPES

We're challenging you to make a papercraft creation incorporating the patterns of polka dots AND stripes

The ladies of our uber-talented Design Team have these fabulous creations to inspire you:

AMANDA 

 This beautiful pink and brown card features the image "Celebrate Celia" There are at least 12-13 layers on this card! ... have you ever seen that many on ONE card??

DESIRE  

Desire has made a skillful multifold card featuring the image " Protea.  The pastel palette of the colouring is perfectly matched to the DP's!

ELENOR
"Cupcakes Galore" is the image featured on Elenor's yummy card.  (Would you notice if one of the cupcakes was missing!  They look delicious!)

JAN

"Emma" is the image featured on Jan's beautiful monochromatic creation. The dress, hat and embellishment ribbon are perfectly matched!

KAREN

Karen has decorated the front of her beautiful card and both the insides.  The image so beautifully coloured is "Ashleigh" - what a wonderful way to incorporate the polka dots and stripes!

KARIN 

Karin's triangular shaped masterpiece features the image "Celebrate Celia" 

(mmmm ... is The Netherlands celebrating something we don't know about ....?)

MARGY

Our talented and generous 'boss-lady" has made this beautiful card featuring one of her own drawings, "Water Lily" - look at the sparkle on that droplet of water!

STEF

Stef's summery and fun creation features "Cindy" - that sand looks so real and you can almost see the sunshine on that pretty blonde hair!

JEN (that's me) 

I have used "Pensive" on my easel card and added the children's rhyme "Monday's Child"

and last, but certainly not least ...

CAROL

This is Carol's last week as one of our dedicated Designers.  We'd like you to join us in thanking Carol for her dedication and commitment to showcasing the Digistamps4Joy images in such a beautiful and creative manner.  We'll miss you Carol, go well, sweet lady!

 Carol's pretty and feminine birthday card features the image "Ashleigh".  The sparkle on her wings is so pretty and the folded paper rosette is the perfect embellishment!  The best for last, eh, Carol?

Karin used "Satchel" and made a stunning card

Jen created this gorgeous autumn coloured card with "Snug 'n warm"

Margy created a girly school card using "School bag"

 Stef also used "Satchel" and added a number embossed background

Jen created an underwater scene with "Smiling Mermaid"

Now here's something a little different!! Our challenge for ONE WEEK ONLY is

WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER

We're challenging you to make a papercraft creation and showing us what the WEATHER is like where you are currently in the world!

Both Design Teams A & B have made cards with Digistamps4Joy images, and this is what they came up with to inspire you:

AMANDA chose Summer Ice Cream as her image and created a wonderful summer themed card for The Netherlands

  CAROLchose Ready for Rain as her image and clearly showed the WET weather in the UK!

DESIREchose Winter Wendy as her image and says it's COLD in South Africa!

ELENOR chose Gardening is a pain as her image to show she loves summer gardening inSweden

JAN chose Bo Peep as her image and created a beautiful summery scene for the UK.

KARENchose Cheri Chic as her image and chose the colour blue to show that the summer in the UK is still cold!

KARIN also used Summer Ice Cream as her image to show a wonderful bright summer in The Netherlands.

STEF chose Summer Face as her image to show the hot weather she is experiencing in the USA.
